| How early / late can I join a meeting? |

You can join a meeting up to 15 minutes prior to its announced start time. This gives you time to get your connection working. Also, before the meeting, the group leader may also give participants an optional assignment, such as sending a chat message to other participants, or a brief reading. Joining the early will give you time to make sure your computer and audio connection are working properly.
To avoid interruptions, each meeting will be closed 5 minutes after its scheduled start time. This means that you will not be allowed to join a meeting that is already 5 or more minutes in progress.

You can participate from home - you only need a computer with internet access and a phone or a computer microphone with speakers (using Voice over Internet Protocol/VOIP).
Once you have registered there are 2 ways to join our Group Meetings

After registering for a meeting you will receive a Meeting Confirmation email. This email will contain a link for joining the meeting. Simply click on this link. You will be able to join 15 prior to the meeting time. This link will also be on your Reminder Email.

15 before the start of your meeting, a “Join Your Meeting” button will appear on the Home and Meeting Calendar pages of DepressionRecoveryGroups.com. If you don’t see this button and it is less than 15 minutes before the meeting start time, simply refresh your screen and it will appear. Click on either of these buttons.

Either of these options will bring you to the “Meeting Information” page. On the right side of this page you will see the “Join Meeting Now” box.

Input the name you would like to be identified with in the meeting. This can be your first name, a nickname, or any name that makes you feel comfortable.

After you enter the name you would like to use in the meeting, please input your email address. This will not be displayed in the meeting nor will it be shared with anyone. We use this for our records only and it remains completely confidential.

Click “Join Now” to enter the meeting. |
At this point, you will see the “Audio Conference” window.

Please enter the phone number, meeting reference number and attendee id number shown on your Audio Conference screen. You may use a phone connection or VOIP. The connection and audio quality is better with a phone connection. Please note that the phone number is not toll-free and you may incur calling costs.
Additional Information on Audio Connection and VOIP
Note: The first time you join a meeting, there will be a small meeting applet that will load onto your computer. Our online meeting service provider is Webex, run by Cisco - a very large and reliable internet-services company. They will not save any of your private information. For more information, please visit the Webex web site.
